You will experience Peru in 10 days full of excitement: you will travel through historic Lima, marvel at Paracas and the Ballestas Islands, explore Cusco and the Sacred Valley, admire Machu Picchu and the Mountain of 7 Colors, as well as connect with nature in Humantay and experience quad biking adventures.

You will arrive in the vibrant city of Lima, where our team will meet you at the airport and escort you in comfort to your hotel. This first day will be the time to rest, adapt to the environment, take advantage of the establishment's facilities or take a short walk around the surroundings, depending on your pace. It will be the perfect opportunity to relax after the trip, prepare for all the adventures to come and start to feel the energy of the Peruvian capital, before starting our tourist itinerary.

09:15 – 09:30 | We will pick you up at your hotel and set off on our tour of Lima. You will visit the Parque do Amor, located on the Cisneros promenade, in Miraflores, next to the Villena bridge. There, you will see the famous sculpture “The Kiss”, work by artist Víctor Delfín, as well as colorful walls with mosaics inspired by Gaudí's Park Güell, decorated with phrases and poems in Spanish and Quechua. Afterwards, we will stop for a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana: an important pre-Inca ceremonial center, which was inhabited for more than 300 years and later conquered by the Wari culture. At 10:00 am, we will stop at Plaza San Martín, where the central monument honors the liberator of Peru — designed by Mariano Benlliure. In front of this space, you will see the historic Grande Hotel Bolívar. At 11:00 am, we will enter the Convent and Catacombs of San Francisco: the largest collection of colonial religious art in America. You will visit the Choir Room, the Library, the Sacristy and the underground crypts. At 2:00 pm, we will return to the hotel in Miraflores.

04h40 | We will leave Lima in tourist transport, following the South Pan-American Highway. During the journey, our guide will present the tour and give all the general information about the itinerary. At around 6:00 am, we will make a quick stop for breakfast (own expense). We generally offer a ready-to-go meal, but there will also be time to purchase artisan breads and beverages. Afterwards, we will continue our journey to Paracas. At 9:30 am, we will begin our expedition to the Ballestas Islands. During the boat trip, you will be able to see the famous Candelabra: a giant geoglyph of still uncertain origin. Then, we will visit the islands, which are home to abundant marine fauna, such as guanera birds, sea lions and Humboldt penguins. We will then return to Paracas Bay. At 10 am, we will taste typical sweets, such as tejas and chocotejas. At 1:00 pm, you will have free time to have lunch and taste Ica's delicious local cuisine. At 2:00 pm, we will visit an artisanal winery, where you will learn about the entire wine and pisco production process, with tasting included. At 3 pm, we will go to the Huacachina Oasis. At 3:30 pm, those who wish can practice activities such as sliding and sandboarding on the dunes. At 5:30 pm, we will return to Lima.

In the morning, you will be taken from the hotel to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, the Salkaway Peru Travel team will welcome you and accompany you to your accommodation. There, they will be able to rest and adapt to the altitude of the region. In the afternoon, we will explore Cusco on an approximately four-hour sightseeing tour. You will visit the Temple of Qoricancha, the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, as well as the archaeological sites of Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucará. Along the way, we will discover together the history and culture of Inca Cusco, admire incredible panoramic views and connect with all the grandeur of this ancient city. At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel to rest and prepare for the incredible adventures that await you in the Andes.

We will pick you up at your hotel at 7:30 am to begin our expedition through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be at the Taray Viewpoint, from where you will be able to see the valley's agricultural fields and a breathtaking Andean landscape. Afterwards, we will continue to the Pisac Market: a place full of colors, crafts and live culture, perfect for getting to know local traditions up close. Next, we will visit the ruins of Pisac, where the guide will tell you all about the historical and architectural importance of this Inca site. You will enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch in Urubamba, to recharge your batteries and continue our journey. In the afternoon, we'll explore the Ollantaytambo fortress, with its terraces and ceremonial squares, before heading to the train station. There, we will board the train bound for Aguas Calientes. Our team will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel and give you all the tips and guidance you need for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

You will start the day with breakfast at the hotel. According to the scheduled entry time, we will pick you up and take you to the bus station. From there, we will take around 25 minutes, climbing the mountain until we reach the citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we will go through entry control. Therefore, it will be essential to present your original passport and physical ticket. Inside the complex, our guide will give detailed explanations about the history, architecture and meaning of Machu Picchu. You will walk the entire main circuit, a walk that will last around 2 hours. At the end of the visit, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes (25-minute journey). There, you will have free time to have lunch, on your own. Afterwards, we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our team will be waiting for you to transfer to your hotel in Cusco. Thus, we will end a truly unforgettable day in the Inca citadel.

We will leave very early, at 4:30 am, to pick you up at your hotel in Cusco and continue our journey towards the south of the valley, in a tourist transport. Along the approximately three-hour journey, we will pass through very picturesque Andean villages, such as Oropesa — famous for its traditional bread —, Andahuaylillas — known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” — and Urcos, until we reach the district of Cusipata. There, you will have a hearty morning meal, to give you enough energy, before we continue to Phulawasipata (4,600 m altitude). This will be the starting point for a one and a half hour walk. During the route, you will be surrounded by imposing landscapes of the high mountain range, you will see herds of alpacas and llamas, birds that inhabit these heights and the majestic Ausangate mountain range. All this until we reach the viewpoint of the 7 Colors Mountain (or Vinicunca, at 5,300 m above sea level). There, you will have free time to admire all the beauty of this multicolored landscape, take photos and feel the unique magic of the Andes. Afterwards, we will walk back to Phulawasipata. In Cusipata, you will have lunch at a buffet with typical dishes from the Andean region. Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at around 5:00 pm.

We will start this adventure by picking you up at your hotel in Cusco at 6:40 am. We will take a trip of around 50 minutes to the town of Cruz Pata, on a tourist transport. There, you will have the opportunity to practice and get used to the quads for 15 to 20 minutes. Once everyone is ready for this special crossing, we will begin the journey towards the experimental terraces of Moray. On site, the guide will explain in detail the importance of this archaeological site and how it worked. After visiting Moray, we will return to base to catch our tourist transport again. Then, we will continue to the Maras Salinas: a place of incredible beauty, where salt is extracted completely by hand until today. Along the way, you will have magnificent views of the snow-capped Verónica and Chicón mountains, as well as a breathtaking landscape, in total contact with nature. In the salt flats, the guide will tell you how the entire natural process of salt formation and extraction occurs. At the end of the tour, we will return to the city of Cusco.

We will leave very early, at 4:30 am, to pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco. We will continue our journey towards the northeast of the city, using tourist transport. Along the way, we will pass through Andean villages and valleys full of charm, until we reach Mollepata. There, you will have a hearty morning meal, before continuing to Soraypampa (3,900 m altitude), the starting point of our walk. We will then begin an approximately 2-hour climb towards the stunning Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m above sea level). It will be famous for its intense turquoise waters and will be surrounded by imposing mountains and the typical flora of the high mountain range. At the lagoon, you will have free time to explore the place, capture everything in photos and enjoy the peace and energy of this sacred space for Andean culture. Afterwards, we will walk back to Soraypampa, where we will catch the bus back to Mollepata. There, we will have an all-you-can-eat buffet meal, with Andean cuisine. Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at around 6:00 pm, bringing back unforgettable memories of this unique experience.

On that day, you will say goodbye to Peru, after an experience that will remain with you forever. At the agreed time, our team will accompany you to the airport to board your flight home.
